ABOUT SHOALWATER BAY INDIAN TRIBE

The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe is a federally recognized tribal nation on the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation just off Willapa Bay in Tokeland, Washington. With a strong connection to the coastal environment and wildlife the Shoalwater people are building businesses and opportunities for future generations while protecting the waters and lands they call home. 

Revenue generated from the enterprise activities provides funds to support education, elder care, community grants, entrepreneurship, public safety and other essential services for the Shoalwater Bay Tribe and community.

Shoalwater Bay Casino

Our Tribe opened the Shoalwater Bay Casino in 1997 to create a small economic center for our Tribe. Currently, our little gem includes a small deli, liquor store, gift shop, a bar, and 270+ slot machines for your enjoyment. We are always updating our floor, so you never know what you will find each visit. We hope you will visit often!

Tradewinds On The Bay

Tradewinds Motel is a well-hidden secret on the coast of the Willapa Bay in Washington. Originally built as condominiums, this inviting property boasts 18 1 bedroom guest rooms with mini kitchenettes, electric fireplace, and a view to remember. Take a stroll on the beach at low tide, enjoy wind surfing at high tide, enjoy a soak in the glass dome hot tub, take a swim in the outdoor pool, relax in the sauna, or just light a fire at the pit and enjoy an outdoor evening with the family. To meet your event needs, you will find a small bay view conference center that can host up to 60 guests.

Willapa Bay Oyster Co.

Willapa Bay Enterprises created the Willapa Bay Oyster Co. in 2018 to provide quality oyster seed to our tribal members and local small oyster growers. Our main purpose is to supply our tribal Oyster Co-Op and bring our tribes traditional food practices and supply back.

Located inside the Shoalwater Bay Casino, the Smoke N’ Spirits Liquor Store provides our community with quality liquors, cigars, and cigarettes at low, tax inclusive, prices.
