JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Manager of Credit & Collections, the incumbent is responsible for duties include; evaluating requests for casino credit lines and making decisions to approve, modify or deny such requests. Will refer requests over a pre-determined dollar amount to Manager or above level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review new credit applications and approve, modify credit limit, or deny requests. Refer credit line requests over a pre-determined amount to Manager or above level depending on amount requested.
  • Execute credit strategies/initiatives as set forth to obtain new business or enhance existing business 
  • Activate initial lines and assigns proper deposit delay. 
  • Compile accurate gaming history on preferred customers through direct contact (Exec to Exec) to provide senior management with the most accurate and complete gaming profile for decisions above his/her authority level. 
  • Evaluate requests for temporary increases. 
  • Provide highest level of personal service and attention to the needs of Casino Credit patrons. 
  • Obtain sensitive and confidential information in a safe, private and confidential setting. 
  • Articulate denials of requests logically and courteously to ensure positive guest service and continued patronage to our casino. 
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication across all levels of personnel including upstream reporting 
  • Coordinate all internal and external audit requests, respond accordingly and follow-up/through to ensure compliance 
  • Evaluate continued credit worthiness of active customers through re-verification of financial and gaming data. 
  • Foster a superior guest service culture 
  • Review daily in house returns to determine disposition. 
  • Review daily returns from Central credit. 
  • Monitor and evaluate expected and unexpected credit arrivals. 
  • Track markers issued for walk/roll and take appropriate action. 
  • Call premium players prior to deposit. 
  • Evaluate temporary (TTO’s) and permanent limit requests up to authorized level 
  • Develop relationships and promote player development involvement with new and existing customers. 
  • Ensures the protection of customer’s confidential information and credit lines. 
  • Complies with all departmental and Company Policies including Tribal business ethics guidelines. 
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Seminole Gaming trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information 
  • Responsible for overseeing collection activities and presenting a monthly update to the credit committee. 
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations. 
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication. 
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations. 
  • Works diligently to support the culture and team philosophy throughout the property. 
  • Promotes positive public relations and creates an enjoyable atmosphere for all customers. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Professional appearance and demeanor with an outgoing, friendly personality. Must demonstrate extraordinary customer service skills with effective listening skills. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to independently maintain high levels of productivity. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities. Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

Strong quantitative and analytic skills with demonstrated success in analytic roles.  Proficient mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.  Must possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must possess ability to handle non-standard situations where judgment must be exercised utilizing strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of casino industry experience with at least three (3) years on the casino floor in a supervisory capacity preferably in casino credit or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Computer related experience required, including AS400, CMP, and/or ACSC Systems, Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of CMP based systems required (Casino Market Place)
  • Must understand how to read a consumer credit report 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Manager is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear in an office environment; regularly required to move throughout office and Gaming area
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.
