Prairie Knights Casino & Resort is seeking a Director of Casino Gaming to oversee management, budget and operations of the Sportsbook, the Slot and Table Games departments.

Compensación: $74,000.00 - $93,250.04

REPORTS TO:   Assistant General Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:   Manager on Duty, Floor Supervisors, Pit Bosses, Sportsbook Manager

DOL STATUS:   Exempt

SCOPE AND MAIN

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To oversee management, budget and operations of the Sportsbook, the Slot and Table Games departments.  To oversee entire operation in General Manager's and Assistant General Manager’s absence.  Responsible for the profitability of the Gaming Division while maintaining quality service in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Enterprise.

SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES

  • The Director of Casino has full responsibility for the direction and operational management of the Sportsbook, the Table Games and Slot operations. 
  • Will coordinate with the Department Directors regarding proposed changes to existing operating procedures. 
  • Responsible for helping develop long and short range financial and strategic objectives for the Gaming Department consistent with Enterprise goals. 
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of Sportsbook, Slot and Table Game operations, internal controls, and applicable gaming laws (TICS, ND Gaming Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance and NIGC) and procedures. Must ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Accountable for manpower planning and the hiring, training, and regular performance appraisals of the gaming department. 
  • Assists in developing new concepts in promoting the casino (running bingo and keno) and will stay abreast of the latest developments in the gaming industry. 
  • Work closely with the Surveillance and Security departments to ensure the safety and financial welfare of the casino operations. 
  • Be aware of the internal controls, policies and procedures of the Cashier Department.  Also, will identify regular and VIP guests in coordination with the Guest Services Representatives and will extend recognition and good will to them on behalf of the casino's Senior Management.  Handle difficult or sensitive guest complaints.
  • Maintaining Title 31 Compliance accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREREQUISITES

General:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must qualify for a Tribal Key Gaming License.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Technical training in Sportsbook, Slots and/or Table Games required.
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional, managerial position within a casino environment including slot machines and multiple table games. During that time, must also have experience in overseeing human and material resources requiring sophisticated analysis and decision making.
  • Must have full understanding of sportsbook, table games and slot machines.
  • Must have experience with and be aware of camera surveillance systems.

Physical:

  • Cannot be color blind.
  • Position requires bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, finger dexterity, grasping, and repetitive motions.
