Summary:

This position will Maintain and oversee poker room duties and responsibilities. Provide a guest friendly environment for guest and employees alike. Ensure your leadership illustrates professionalism, is on par with company and poker room standards. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Functions:

• Provide exceptional Guest Service to all customers & co-workers.
• Maintain security of games and adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Generates all associated poker forms and paperwork (fills, credits, player tracking and table tracking).
• Generate CTR’s and MTL’s following company and state regulated guidelines as needed.
• Maintains a direct line of communication with the pit/shift managers, poker mangers and table games director.
• Responsible for scheduling poker staff based on needs required for the Poker Room in order to ensure quality guest service for our patrons.
• Assists in training and evaluating subordinate employees in a fair and equitable manner.
• Responsible for tracking players’ length of play, and average bet.
• Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Familiar with administrative tasks, i.e. cash exchange, tournament buys, Payroll, new hire, term, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
• Ability to organize and run a poker dealer training school, ensuring new dealers are equipped with the knowledge to protect the company and players.
• Responsible for generating revenue through promotions, tournament poker tours, etc.
• Count down and verify main poker bank and impress banks.
• Open and close games as needed.
• Be available to resolve and follow through with daily issues that arise.
• Be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Keep room tidy and clean throughout the shift.
• Provide a cooperative and friendly work environment for employees.
• Communicate any and all concerns through the chain of command, starting with your immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years experience in Poker.

• Dual-Rate Supervisor position or above, or prior supervisory experience.

• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrated ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
• Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission License
