Summary Description

The Food Runner acts as a liaison between the line and service staff. Responsible for expediting all orders in a timely manner ensuring order accuracy. Transport food from kitchen to dining room while providing quality service

Essential Job Functions/Duties

Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC  
• Providing fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to team members and venue guests.  
• Maintaining current and accurate information regarding food items (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and their usage) 
• Ensures food order is correct and presentation and specifications meet standards. 
• Assists servers with plating and delivery of food and beverage items. 
• Assists servers by monitoring tables closely and attend to guests needs.  
• Wiping counter areas, sinks and sweep floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation. 
• Remove trash and other refuse from workstation trash receptacle to dumpster. 
• Maintaining cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards 
• Operating and maintaining all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures 
• Providing personalized service to customers and team members. 
• Knowing and promoting current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas 
• Know and understand the expectations of this job description and deliver results. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

• Must be 19 years or older.
• High school diploma. GED, or relevant experience.
• Food & Beverage experience.
• Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques.
• Required to taste and smell foods.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond expectations in the operation of the venue.
• Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
• Must be willing to contribute to discussions of performance improvement and analysis.
• Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards.
• Must be able to take constructive criticism with a professional attitude.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is not required for this position.

WORK HOURS: Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property

Certification Requirements

Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? No

Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License

Other Certifications? ServSafe, Food Handlers
