Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing secure IT systems to safeguard all critical and digital assets in all operations supporting Tribal interests. This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced security solutions tailored to the unique challenges of casino operations, guest data protection, and integrated hospitality services. The engineer conducts thorough vulnerability assessments, automates key security processes, and ensures strict compliance with both tribal regulations and industry standards.

- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
- Lead by example and carry out our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by fulfilling our Mission Statement, Service Promise and following department service standards. - Security Solutions Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and secure networking protocols. Ensure the organization's IT infrastructure is protected against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Vulnerability Assessment and Management: Perform regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps
- Incident Response: Lead advanced threat analysis and incident response efforts, developing strategies to contain and mitigate attacks
- Cloud Security: Configure and maintain secure cloud environments in accordance with regulatory requirements and cloud security best practices
- Automation: Develop and implement automation where appropriate to streamline security operations and reduce manual resource requirements
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure technology systems and processes comply with relevant standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 series, NIGC MICS, and PCI DSS.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional team, including IT, Operations, and Tribal leadership teams to build and maintain a resilient environment that supports community goodwill, business continuity, and guest trust
- Security Monitoring and Auditing: Develop and oversee security monitoring systems and provide guidance to junior staff on proper use and support
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for security processes, architecture, and incident response activities
- Emerging Technology Research: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity technologies and trends, recommending improvements to existing systems and processes
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require supervisory duties; however, it is expected to mentor and guide junior department staff.
Qualifications
Education And Experience (Must Be Documented)
- 5-10 years IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Security engineering experience
