Great Job Opportunity for a High Energy Self Starter | General Manager for Ohkay Casino and Hotel in Espanola, New Mexico.

Remuneración: $150,000 to $175,000 per year

Description:

The Ohkay Casino is looking for a General Manager with an innovated approach to the management of a casino in North New Mexico. The position directly oversees the financial performance and quality standards of the Casino and Hotel. The successful candidate is responsible for the efficient, successful, and profitable operation of overall finance, administration, hotel/casino operations in accordance with the gaming compact and ordinance by using new concepts and processes. This is a great position for someone who is new to the casino industry but posses the management skills and ingenuity to make the Casino successful.

Duties:
  • Lead operations for this independent Casino in a competitive market and take full ownership of operating success.
  • Provide innovative/creative thinking and strategies to effectively differentiate this property from the competition.
  • Ensure that the selection, training and ongoing direction for casino/hotel employees is such that it maintains a high level of morale and teamwork that enables delivery of exceptional service.
  • Consistently deliver accurate forecasting projections and implement effective adjustments as required in staffing and other cost drivers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Hotel Management or an equivalent degree/industry experience.
  • Five years extensive management experience in accounting, hotel/casino operations or any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
  • Strong financial management skills a must, including forecasting/income statements/balance sheets/cash flow/internal controls.
  • Prior F&B upper management experience a plus.
  • Requires background check, ability to obtain a Gaming License and valid driver's license.
