Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with Racing Associates of Colorado Ltd and Colorado Department of Gaming policies and procedures and ensure compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations
  • Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
  • Stock Race Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
  • Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
  • Create and enter player tracking cards
  • Ensure the protection of customer’s rewards and adherence to credit lines
  • Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Bally's Arapahoe Park is a horse-racing track in Arapahoe County, Colorado on the outskirts of Aurora, owned and operated by Bally's Corporation. Arapahoe Park hosts Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Paint Horse and Arabian horse racing.

The facility features a Racebook, 13 OTB's, Concession Stands, Bars and a Gift Shop.

The racing season generally begins in mid-May and continues through the late spring into the summer, wrapping up in mid-August. The track is home to the Mile High Futurity and the Mile High Derby, both quarter horse stakes races with final purses of over $100,000. For Thoroughbreds, the meet's marque race is the Gold Rush Futurity, a 2 year old stakes race going six furlongs for $100,000 in purse monies. Arapahoe Park also hosts four graded stakes races, all for Arabian horses.
