The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Director of Compliance to join our iGaming team: This position will oversee the Compliance organization – including licensing, AML, Payments Risk Fraud and ensure that products, employees, management and company are in compliance with rules and regulations. Our ideal candidate is a personable, critical thinker with significant knowledge of iGaming laws, regulations, and requirements.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $104,100 – $140,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Ensure regulations are respected from a technical point of view for all operations (platform, sportsbook, licenses).
  • Coordinate with the technical and legal teams.
  • Create and manage internal controls and audit compliance.
  • Ensure constant communication and collaboration between the regulatory bodies and the company.
  • Maintain the compliance calendar related to audits and reporting, and ensure that the regulatory body receives a response within the deadlines.
  • Read and understand the constraints and needs of local laws, regulations, and industry standards linked to our operations.
  • Interpret the requirements and translate them into business and technical tasks.
  • In due time, communicate all regulatory changes or requests to the relevant entities and assist with required operational and technical changes.
  • Collaborate with partners on the certification laboratory choice and scheduling to ensure efficient certification of any new features.
  • Create a process for marketing communications approval, and deliver timely approvals and feedback to marketing teams and external agencies involved.
  • Review on-site content, such as House Rules, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy.
  • Train the team on key compliance issues.

More about you

  • 5 to7 years of applicable state/federal compliance/AML experience (gaming industry experience required)
  • Managerial experience required
  • Significant knowledge of Casino Gaming laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Comfortable communicating with gaming regulators and federal/state authorities
  • Experience in reviewing, researching, and interpreting regulations
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand the dynamics of competing business priorities
  • Attention to detail and an analytical mind
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
