Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Casino Promotions & Player Development Manager – Bilingual (Marketing Manager) is to manage, develop and improve all aspects of Promotions and Casino Marketing for Magic City Casino. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and WCH’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements and executes promotions and Casino VIP events (immediate, short and long range) to ensure growth in player profitability and overall brand engagement while retaining existing customers and acquiring new customers
  • Designs and executes promotions for the Casinos that drives play, trips, time on device, increased brand engagement with a goal of 60% rated play (where applicable)
  • Develops canned instantaneous promotions with collateral support via all media/communication options that can be implemented immediately; Communicates and works with other departments to determine criteria/standard procedures for instantaneous promotions usage
  • Ensures that promotions are creative, bring energy to the property, and adhere to Gaming Commission regulations and/or other state requirements based on region
  • Creates and implements promotions that are tightly integrated to online and on property (OLOP) company initiatives
  • Evaluates reports and measurements of promotions to ensure they meet or exceed expectations of play, trips, time on device, increased brand engagement and hotel occupancy (where applicable)
  • Maintains an ongoing schedule of promotions as outlined in the property marketing plan
  • Prepares financial pro forma projections of expected profitability for proposed promotions and reviews the results of past promotions and events; Makes recommendations for the feasibility of repeating or modifying those promotions
  • Develops theme, format and budget specifications for Promotions and Casino Marketing
  • Determines staffing needs and ensures proper work schedules necessary to implement promotions
  • Ensures public awareness of events
  • Track competitors advertising, events and promotions, and maintain awareness of changes in the marketplace that may impact the planned marketing initiatives at Magic City Casino
  • Manage Magic City Casino’s player development program to realize a YOY profit in VIP net-revenue while complying with company comp policies
  • Managers team of player development professionals, encouraging relationship building and increased in visits and spend with Magic City Casino
  • Yield VIP events and Concerts
  • Directs, oversees, and assists the Corporate Director of Promotions, Property and Corporate leadership with planning of promotions, entertainment and other marketing projects as assigned
  • Completes required paperwork and reporting to remain within compliance of state regulations
  • Communicates all events and information related to the events to operating departments to ensure timely coordination and assures that appropriate personnel are equipped to address customer concerns
  • Establishes an effective working relationship with all operating departments
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Related Field AND two (2) years supervisory or management experience in Marketing– required
    • OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position in Marketing– required
    • OR Three (3) years’ experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality– required
  • Two (2) years’ experience with planning and/or execution of promotions and special events -required
  • Three (3) years of experience managing High-end Casino guest processes- required
  • Three (3) years of experience in Player Development as a successful, top performing Host or Executive Host – required
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in a major casino or resort environment (property or organization with revenues larger than $250 million per year) with a proven track record of increase revenues– required
  • Experienced and proficient user in Microsoft Excel; a skills test will be administered and candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate– required
  • Must pass an interview panel regarding communication skills, guest services skills, and obvious demonstration of a naturally outgoing, friendly, helpful personality and positive attitude (job audition will be required)
  • Experience in Commercial Gaming (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication, human relations, and decision-making skills.

  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition

  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have, or the ability to obtain, the required gaming license issued by the governing authority in the region/state of the property assignment as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
