Laundry Driver

SUMMARY:  

Responsible for the safe operation, transportation, loading and unloading of all linens, records and other items to various off-site properties and other entities following a specific route schedule. Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle. Record trip information including but not limited to start time, end time, meal break time, driving time, starting and ending mileage, fuel costs, and maintenance and/or repair issues, ensuring operations are in accordance with company standards, and also ensuring maximum productivity and superior Guest service and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:  

  • Responsible for the safe operation, transportation, loading and unloading of all Hinckley Laundry LLC products.
  • Assists Hinckley Laundry LLC Technicians promptly and courteously with transportation service.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle.  Perform daily cleaning of vehicle and associated components.
  • Inspects vehicle prior to operation and reports any required maintenance to Hinckley Laundry LLC Manager or Hinckley Laundry LLC Technician Supervisor.
  • Responsible for reporting all accidents.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have valid Driver’s License.
  • Must pass and comply with MN DOT medical examination.
  • Must be insurable under Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures Vehicle Insurance coverage.
  • One (1) year previous courier experience preferred.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
  • Ability to drive vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow a specified route schedule within allowable time frames.
  • Ability to read and follow maps.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:

  • Talk and hear;
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands;
  • Lift, pull, push, and/or move objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
  • Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
  • Occasionally required to climb a variety of ladders.
  • Operate motorized equipment.
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and extreme cold.
