Summary

Plans, coordinates, and implements training and staff development programs for organization by performing the following duties personally, with other company staff, and through outside contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • In conjunction with property managers formulates training, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
  • Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training.
  • Organizes and develops training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Researches and selects outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topics.
  • Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of trainees. Maintains and administers the Learning Management System (LMS), Rosetta Stone and other technology as needed.
  • Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by local community educational resources.
  • In coordination with property management and outside contractors screens, tests, counsels, and recommends employees for participation in internal or external educational and training programs.

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education

Minimum two years related experience and/or training. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft office suite software and of group facilitation.

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License.

This is a casino resort operation position.  Position occurs primarily in an office environment but includes occasional exposure to cigarette smoke and noise from casino floor.
