The Senior Facilities Shift Manager supervises and oversees the maintenance of casino building, interior spaces and grounds at the hotel location during assigned shift.

Salary depends on qualifications and experience. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Oversee the maintenance duties at the hotel and I-5 including the interior/exterior of the building and grounds.

2. Supervise, train, delegate work, conduct performance evaluations, and participates in the disciplinary process.

3. Ensures employees attend mandatory trainings.

4. Recommends revisions to policies and procedures to the Facilities Director or Facilities Site Manager.

5. Determine work priorities, service required, equipment, materials, and crew needed to complete work assignments all in accordance to safety standards.

6. Conduct routine inspections of worked performed in order to ensure proper standards are being met.

7. Reports problems or concerns to the Facilities Director or Facilities Site Manager.

8. Verifies receipt of deep cleaning supplies and equipment.

9. Keeps inventory of maintenance supplies, materials, equipment and orders replacement of supplies and equipment.

10. Coordinate maintenance and cleaning work with Security, Hotel, and Casino managers and supervisors.

11. Keep track of all maintenance work performed and completed.

12. Assist maintenance and facilities workers with assignments as necessary.

Competencies

The role of Senior Facilities Shift Manager requires expertise in supervisory practices and hands-on building maintenance, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical systems. Proficiency in operating tools, equipment, and department-specific software is essential for ensuring seamless maintenance operations. Strong leadership abilities are necessary to supervise, train, evaluate, and discipline staff while coordinating and prioritizing work to meet high standards. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance activities, inspecting completed tasks, managing inventory and supplies, addressing maintenance concerns across departments, and providing clear reports and recommendations for policy or procedural improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience & Requirements:

  • Five years supervisory experience in Facilities.
  • Ability to manage and motivate employees.
  • Experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical/HVAC and carpentry required.
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Use of hand and finger dexterity for various tasks.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Lifting, pulling, or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to loud noises and working around electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Reading and understanding detailed operating instructions.
  • Working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Utilizing verbal communication skills effectively.
  • Operating in crowded areas and smoke-filled environments.
  • Performing calculations as part of the job requirements.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays

Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
