Position Summary
The Inventory/Equipment Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining the housekeeping inventory system. This includes receiving, stocking, and dispatching materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and conducting regular inventory audits. This position is also responsible for maintaining all housekeeping equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Receives and inspects incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
Unloads, labels, and stores inventory in appropriate locations.
Updates inventory records in the company’s database system.
Performs regular physical inventory counts and reconciles discrepancies.
Prepares and processes orders for dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Coordinates with the procurement and sales departments to manage inventory levels.
Maintains a clean and organized warehouse/work area.
Assists in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
Generates and distributes inventory reports as needed.
Greets guests passing in public areas, establishes eye contact.
Identify and report any inventory issues or shortages to management.
PMs all housekeeping equipment as needed.
Repairs all equipment when possible.
Uses safety equipment as required.
Follows safety protocols as required.
Contacts vendors to pick up broken equipment when needed.
Communicates all maintenance issues to supervisor.
Executes assignments within acceptable time ranges.
Assists with other projects as needed such as carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, etc.
Collects/secures lost-and-found articles and turns into Housekeeping Dispatch.
Controls inventory of supplies in assigned storage lockers.
Makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenues as well as reducing costs.
Establishes and maintains close working relationships with all Hard Rockers to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
Resolves guest issues.
Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.

Maintains knowledge of the property, including memorabilia.
Unloads shipping and receiving items into designated storage areas
Assists with hurricane/storm preparation: moving pallets, boxes, equipment etc. into designated safe areas
Assist with hurricane/storm clean up: hotel/public areas

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education/certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
Proven experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar role.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to push, pull, and lift objects of at least 50 pounds
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The courses below are required for this position:
