Beverage Shift Supervisor
Summary Description
The Beverage Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting in managing the beverage service team and operations during an assigned shift. In addition, the Beverage Shift Supervisor ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through effective training of staff and a hands-on, lead by example management style. Pay starts at $22/hr.
Essential Job Functions/Duties

- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC
- Provides the tools, training. communication and supplies necessary for the beverage team to deliver exemplary guest service.
- Assists in scheduling Beverage team members to ensure appropriate coverage during regular operating hours and special events.
- Monitors par levels and daily inventory of supplies.
- Maintains beverage inventory and supplies in accordance with business demands.
- Participates in weekly inventory and assists Beverage Manager with weekly and monthly orders.
- Requires that payment, and/or comp authorization is received upon service of all food and beverage items provided and is responsible for assisting food and beverage staff in the proper balancing of the cash register at the end of each shift. Reports any discrepancies to Finance.
- Ensures prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service and preparation beverages to any and all customers.
- Complies with S.M.A.R.T. or T.I.P.S. training.
- Authorizes comp transactions.
- Participates in developing drink specials and promotions.
- Stays current with Beverage service and offering trends.
- Attends periodic meetings and training sessions and ensures Beverage team members are compliant with required trainings and certifications.
- Complies with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls, and any and all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Promotes positive public and employee relations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.
- Must be 19 years or older.
- Associate degree or equivalent related experience
- Three (3) years of experience in food and beverage management, with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity in a high-volume beverage gaming operation that includes Banquets, Entertainment, multiple bars and restaurants.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong POS operational and programming experience.
- Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.
- Proficient in operational financial management accountability and budgeting.

Work Hours
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? Yes
Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.
Other Certifications? ServSafe, TIPS Alcohol Awareness
