The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a seasonal Maintenance Laborer to join our team at Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon National Park, California. As a Maintenance Laborer, you will be responsible for performing building maintenance duties.

What will you do?

  • Order parts and maintain inventory as directed
  • Complete basic repair of assigned equipment and follow safety procedures at all times
  • Perform lifting, shoveling, cleanup work, snow and ice removal, and painting
  • Remodel and repair wooden structures, buildings, and their furnishings
  • Operate small power tools, shovels, rakes, and other maintenance tools
  • Operate company vehicles for transportation of materials

More about you

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a maintenance or construction environment

Physical requirements

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders to perform repairs
  • Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally
