The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Camper Service Attendant to join our team at Big Meadows Wayside in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. As a Camper Service Attendant, you will sell retail merchandise to guests, creating an excellent experience for our guests at all times.

Pay

$17.75 – $17.75 / hour

What will you do?

  • Maintain records related to sales
  • Process sale with point of sale system and bag merchandise
  • Routinely stock merchandise and maintain back-stock
  • Clean and maintain all shower, bathroom, and laundry areas including floors and surfaces, and gather and remove trash.
  • Interact and communicate effectively, answer questions, and provide shower and laundry services to campsite guests. 
  • Provide change as needed.  
  • Maintain safety, and report all leaks, damages, and broken equipment to management.

More about you

  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems required
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service environment preferred
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills with the ability to accurately handle money and count change

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for entire length of shift
  • Ability to bending, reach, walk up and down stairs, and climb on step stool frequently
