We are seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise and manage banquet events at Little Creek Casino and Resort. As the banquet captain, you will be responsible for managing staff schedules, ensuring that banquet operations run smoothly and ensuring that events exceed the guest expectations.

Summary
The Banquet Captain works as a liaison between the Banquet Coordinator and the Food and Beverage Departments to ensure banquet functions exceed the guest's expectations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review BEO's, making sure all information is accurate and available for banqueting staff.
- Coordinate with Banquet Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, IT, MIS, and other departments, as needed, assuring all details are set, including but not limited to guest counts, serve times, menu selections, audio/visual and any other special requests are prepared on time.
- Create a schedule to assure all banquets are properly staffed, to include a daily checklist assuring all opening / closing duties are complete, including but not limited to breaking down and re-setting rooms, cleaning and stocking supplies and prepping for the next scheduled event.
- Assure all requested equipment is readily available and / or set-up.
- Ring in all banquets daily, or as otherwise specified, and forward all information to the Banquet Coordinator.
- Track banquet staff hours, to ensure accurate record keeping and appropriate hourly distribution.
- Total bills to meet minimum contracted BEO and total any additional charges ordered during the event.
- Assure guest signs off on the total bill to ensure the Sales Manager can effectively close out on the following business day.
Additional Duties
- Expedited food, meeting all Food and Beverage standards including but not limited to appropriate temperature, correct menu selections and presentation.
- Act as a server, bartender and houseman as needed to provide fast, efficient, and quality service to all guests.
- Write order on check or memorize it and enter it into the POS cash system.
- Relay order to kitchen.
- Serve all guests according to established standards of quality.
- Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed.
- Provide Food & Beverage service to guests in the Casino Resort as needed and when necessary.
- Assist all other employees in performing their duties when possible.
- Relay guest compliments and complaints to the Banquet Coordinator in a timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years related experience and/or training.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Class II Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card
- Current Class 12 Mixologist Permit/Class 13 Alcohol Server Permit
