Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing and baking all baked items while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests. Exhibit knowledge of product lines, prices and full awareness of Food Safety and Sanitation laws and regulations. Provides efficient and smooth customer service according to the standards required by the Isleta Resort and Casino.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. - Follows and initiates standard recipes though weighing, mixing, proofing, baking and finishing baked products.
- Demonstrates ability to learn advanced baking and cake decorating. Completes assigned tasks from start to finish.
- Bakes breads, cookies, pies and sets up finished items on a daily par or orders for the different restaurants on Isleta Resort and Casino.
- Maintains and rotates dated food stock.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment by way of cleaning and wiping down workstation (s) and utensils before and after each assignment.
- Ability to follow recipes for mixing ingredients and baking goods.
- Maintains an open and welcoming attitude that promotes skill enhancement and learning.
- Greets internal and external guests, maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
- Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
Accountability and Supervision:
- Must possess coordination and skill while utilizing kitchen tools and utensils, such as knives, food grater, food slicer, mixers, and any other tool needed to complete recipes.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma and/or General Educational Degree (GED) equivalent, Preferred.
- One (1) year baking experience, preferred.
- Must possess and maintain IHS Food Handlers Certification, required.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
- Must be able to acquire and maintain Non-Key Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
- Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
- Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.

- Must be able to take direction and feedback well.
- Must be able to accurately and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to details such as number and measurements.
- Must be able to communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative, and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematics to include, but is not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity and respect for individuals.
- Must possess and exhibit a positive attitude towards internal and external guests at all times.
- Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
- Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess working knowledge of and be able to adhere to all OSHA, First Aid Management, and HACCP standards and regulations.
- Must be able to read and follow all kitchen recipes.
- Must be able to learn to operate basic bakery equipment to include but is not limited to mixer, sheeter, oven, and proof boxes.
- Must possess coordination and skill to use kitchen tools and utensils, such as knives, food grater, food slicer, mixers, and any other tool needed to complete recipes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push, pool, and maneuver in small confided areas. Must be able to climb up and down ladders.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to lift, move, and place 50 pounds with assistance; must be able to push 150 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Work generally performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, and industrial kitchen setting with expose to high temperatures.
