Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects while adhering to strict deadlines and managing financials to stay within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party vendors or consultants to deliver the project deliverables according to plan. The candidate will need to gather and document both system and functional requirements to ensure that the best business practices are used and that any third parties execute the requirements.

  • Provides outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Directs and manages multiple projects from beginning to end.
  • Develops full-scale project plans to meet short- and long-range goals.
  • Estimates the resources and participants needed for project.
  • Defines project scope and deliverables that support the business goals.
  • Organizes meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss project progress.
  • Maintain project timelines, budgeting, and implementation tasks.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel with expected deadlines.
  • Evaluates and documents both functional and business requirements, recommend areas for improvement.
  • May be required to submit purchase orders for project services, hardware, or software.
  • Determines and assesses the need for additional staff or consultants and makes appropriate suggestions for recruitment if necessary.
  • Manages project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Analyzes results and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Reports project(s) status to stakeholders on all current and upcoming IT related projects in a combined timeline.
  • Assists IT Management in prioritizing current and upcoming projects based on available resources.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31 and federal regulations.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of IT systems, their applications, and employees.
  • May be placed on-call and may be required to respond during non-scheduled hours.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Maintain excellent communications with all leadership.
  • Develop, maintain, and nurture a positive work environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implementing practices that promote safety, quality and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Occasional travel to property(s) may be required.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not require supervisory duties.

Education And Experience (Must Be Documented)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CAPM, PMP, Scrum or equivalent experience preferred.

Certification, Licenses And Any Additional Requirements

  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. They may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push, pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to use repetitive movements to complete tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

  • Multiple locations.
  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
