Summary

The Enterprise Applications Manager reports to the Chief Information Officer and handles leading a team of Business Systems and Data Analysts that have job specific knowledge of software applications and systems within the enterprise, ensuring efficiency and quality. The manager will direct and aid the team in their responsibilities revolving around conducting research and analysis to find needs, assessing existing applications to decide their strengths and weaknesses, and implementing solutions to improve the quality of services. This manager will work with other managers, within the department, to ensure the efficiency of the applications, performing corrective measures when necessary and will have oversight of the financial support programs for these applications The position handles ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Casino Arizona is focused on buying third party enterprise applications with less than 20% of the applications being supported by internal development.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises and manages the daily activities of Business Systems Analyst, Report Writer, and Systems Developer in completion of assigned tasks in a 24/7 environment. Carries out supervisory/management responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Consults with business areas implementing new systems by providing guidance, structure, sharing best practices, and ensuring standards compliance, as well as setting proper expectations.

* Coordinates with other IT managers on projects, applications changes, enhancements, technical support, and implementations.

* Establishes service level agreements with the business groups.

* Maintains a 5-year technology plan.

* Coordinates with the Program Manager to transition support functions from project completion to day-to-day management and oversight.

* Provides leadership in continuous process improvement within IT in the areas of business analysis, procedure development, solution deployment and data quality.

* Sets standards and gives design advice for web/applications development methods and techniques used to access or change company data.

* Plans and helps in checking the annual IT expense and capital budgets.

* Performs management fundamentals, e.g., reviews, one-on-one’s, position descriptions and development plans.

* Understands and ensures conformance to all applicable Minimum Internal Controls and departmental policies and procedures about supported software applications.

* Maintains documentation of current integration technologies, standards, and maintenance procedures.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or related field or equivalent technical certifications and education; eight or more years managing Information Technology enterprise applications, projects, and teams; and/or and equivalent combination of education, technology background and management experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred; not needed.

Computer Skills

* Experience managing applications in any environment.

* Understands LAN and WAN concepts.

* Experience with Visio, MS PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Project, and MS Office.

* Prominent level of technical experience including, but not limited to, client/server & web applications, databases, desktop software, hardware peripherals and an understanding of complex integration requirements among various technologies and mixed environments.

Other Qualifications

* Experience with formal project planning, functional requirements definition and design methodologies.

* Proven ability to rapidly assimilate and apply new technical knowledge based on departmental and corporate goals and aims.

* The ability to work with high degrees of professionalism and autonomy are needed along with a project management style that promotes progress in a collaborative environment.

* Good grasp of technology from “big picture” integration perspective.

* Strong logic, analytical and critical thinking skills.

* Customer Service oriented.

* Must have ability to motivate, direct and hold staff accountable.

* Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and be able to work well under time constraints.

* Must be able to keep confidentiality.

* Industry-specific knowledge of gaming, accounting, operations, and marketing a plus.

* Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule, when necessary.

* Occasional travel needed.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and be on feet for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, secondary smoke, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
