Job Title: Financial Analyst Department: Finance Reports to: CFO

Summary: MUST HAVE UNDERSTANDING OF CASINO OPERATIONS.
In conjunction with and assisting the CFO, the position is responsible for Daily, Monthly and Yearly analysis (both pro and post-forma) of department performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to assess a company's financial health, identify trends, and make informed investment recommendations by creating financial models, reports, and presentations, often utilizing data analysis tools to forecast future performance and support strategic decision-making within an organization; key duties include evaluating financial statements, researching economic conditions, and collaborating with various departments to understand business operations and potential risks.
Key responsibilities:

Data analysis: Collecting and analyzing financial data from various sources, including market trends, projects, promotions, and slot performance.

Financial modeling: Developing pro and post forma analysis to justify and quantify departmental programs, purchases, and promotions.

Reporting and presentation: Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations for senior management.

Trend analysis: Identifying patterns and trends in financial and promotional data to result in strategic decisions.

Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting in the budgeting process and developing financial forecasts regarding staffing, key performance Indicators.

Risk assessment: Evaluating potential financial risks and recommendation of mitigating strategies for facilities projects, casino programs & purchases.

Collaboration: Collaborates with other departments as needed to plan/and or execute initiatives and projects.

Other Duties: Maintains an excellent working knowledge of slot accounting, player tracking, ticket validation, and performance management and data analysis systems. Is responsible for the accurate transposing of various reporting tools.
Required skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel)
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation abilities.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Knowledge of casino and economic market trends.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Education and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education.
- Casino Database experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business & Government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Obtain and Maintain a Gaming license issued by the Tribal Gaming Agency and a California Key Employee License.
