Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
- Assists in the annual development of the forecasting and budgeting process and other business initiatives.
- Prepares a standard set of analytical reports, including ratio analysis, key metrics at month-end.
- Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance and identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
- Researches and prepares economic and statistical reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, cash flow, profit margins, etc.
- Performs analysis on events and promotions for management.
- Analyzes contracts or other financial obligations of the casino to ensure favorable agreement terms.
- Assists management in developing assumptions regarding the volumes of business that could be expected under the current business plan and under alternative strategies.
- Develop decision models and reporting to help with decision making.
- Partner with all levels of management on key business drivers to identify potential opportunities and risk.
- Conducts ad hoc, cost/benefit analysis and/or breakeven analysis for various projects assigned.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instruction.
- Conforms to all safety rules and uses all appropriate equipment.
- Promotes positive team member relations.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Finance, Accounting or Mathematics or related field; MBA a plus. 3 to 5 years’ experience in a financial analyst capacity; hospitality or gaming experience preferred; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPA/CMA/CAP/CFA preferred but not required.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of accounting software; advance skills with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), financial modeling, and business intelligence reporting tools (Power BI). Ability to write queries using standard tools to extract data from relational (SQL) databases.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
