Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all financial and fiscal management of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (NNGE). Provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, financing, accounting, compliance and budgeting goals of NNGE and its properties and business operations. Ensures that all accounting and financial operations are executed in accordance with the system of internal controls, and all applicable Navajo Nation, state, and federal gaming regulations. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field plus fifteen (15) years executive experience in casino or hospitality auditing, bank financing, finance and computerized accounting. Must have extensive financial and business experience in the gaming industry, and advanced knowledge of Accounting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Master’s Degree in Business Administration and/or CPA certification preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must meet all knowledge, skills and abilities requirements. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass preemployment drug/alcohol screening, criminal and character background investigation, and obtain and maintain applicable gaming licenses. Navajo preference in accordance with the Navajo Preference in Employment Act
