Description
Assist Special Events & Promotions Manager with facilitating the operations of in-house events & promotions which include giveaways, gift pickups, player events. Events & Promotions associates also assist entertainment as ushers when needed and Motorcoach department.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate events & promotions through distributing gifts, Xtra Credit, and promotional merchandise.
Assists in events through setting up event space, organizing merchandise and decorations, and filling out customer forms.
Occasional cash handling. Must receive cash handling instructions and abide by property cash handling policies and procedures.
Assists patrons in requests for assistance, services, and information in a courteous, respectful manner. Provides superior guest service to all guests.
Educates customers on upcoming promotions and events. Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
Prepare and facilitate decorations for special events, parties, property for holidays and any other request by other departments.
Other Duties & Responsibilities

Usher - Scans tickets as guest enter and exit the theater and notify the Box Office Manager if an error occurs.
Prohibits guests to enter with outside beverages.
Assists guests in locating proper seat and section in the venue.
Motorcoach - Prepares group package incentives, including communication, bus payment, coupons, club cards, and group tracking.
Reconciles group activities and any payments due to coordinator upon check-out.
Promotes outstanding guest relations.
Markets Motorcoach packages to tour operators and bus companies through telemarketing, trade show leads, and tourism referrals.
Creates player accounts from group manifest.
Greets busses on arrival, welcoming, explaining Encore players cards, and casino promotions, and assists players with all inquires.
Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
High School diploma general education (GED).
Must possess basic computer skills and knowledgeable with casino computer systems, and Microsoft applications.
A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.
Must possess excellent organizational skills.
Must be very detailed oriented.
Must project a professional and positive image.
Must have a high level of energy
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
Excellent telephone skills required.
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand for 4 or more hours.
Must be prompt and able to work in a very-fast paced environment.
Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
