The opportunity

Delaware North is looking for our next great team member to join us on our Sales team in the Sacramento or Bay Area as a Group Sales Manager focused on the Association, Government some Corporate Business meetings at Tenaya Lodge. The Associaton Sales Manager will manage accounts to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. Responsible for soliciting new group sales accounts, entertaining, and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, and ancillary revenues.

We are open to a remote candidate located within a short driving distance to Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, such as Fresno, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. This role will occasionally need to be on site, but will work primarily remotely.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68,640 – $85,600 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Through the usual functions (sales presentations, prospecting, sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment and business travel) the Sales Manager is responsible for developing business and maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
  • The Group Sales Manager is an outside the box thinker and specializes in problem solving. They are involved in networking organizations and a proud representative of Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite and Delaware North.
  • Collaborates with Revenue Management, Hotel Operations, and FB partners to support overall hotel performance and operations.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite and review competition.
  • Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

  • Must be sales-driven goal oriented
  • Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships across the team. Collaborative approach with all departments, specifically food beverage and the events team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of management
  • Ability to think outside the box and use their initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, able to motivate others
  • 3+ years of past sales experience preferred with previous hospitality experience. Hospitality can be with hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, and other event spaces
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Delphi.fdc preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Association Market
  • Ability to execute appropriate action plans.
