Position Summary:
Responsible for providing front line support and maintenance of gaming equipment. The work environment is fast paced, demanding and requires the employee to be highly motivated and provide superior guest services at all times. Slot Technician reports to the Lead Slot Technician or Slot Supervisor when the Lead Slot Technician is not on duty.
Note: Native American preference will be given.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on gaming equipment.
- Maintenance of all current Slot Department test equipment and tools.
- Install or moving of any gaming equipment to desired areas.
- Assist Slot attendants with verification of Jackpots.
- Training/sharing knowledge to Slot employees.
- Utilize computer skills to monitor technical conditions related to applicable gaming equipment.
- Adhere to company/department policies and procedures.
- Possess strong written and oral communications.

Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required Slot Tech training and/or certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required Slot Tech training and/or certification.
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None relating to this position at this time.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds. The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
