Job Duties:

  • Supervises the activities of assigned Security Officers and Dispatchers. Assigns tasks and

    monitors performance.

  • Ensures that department assets are accounted for and in working order such as keys, radios, and other security equipment. Performs key audits on a regular basis.
  • Assumes team leader responsibilities in emergency situations.
  • Completes detailed incident reports, daily logs, performance discussions, performance reviews and other related paperwork.
  • Directs and performs escorts/cash-draws for in-house operations and outside security services. Directs and performs escorts for vendors entering restricted areas and for separating team members as they walk off the property.
  • Interviews, selects, and assists in hiring team members. Includes team member training and development. Completes performance appraisals on direct reports.
  • Assigns and/or conducts security related investigations, but not limited to theft, property damage, guest complaints, and risk management. Authors reports to document incidents.

Job Requirements:

Reflects MINIMUMEDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Any combination of post-secondary education/certifications in law enforcement, military or security fields and/or related experience to equal one year.
  • Must pass Security Supervisor qualification test.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English so others will understand, including a demonstrated ability to write clear and concise reports and memoranda.
  • Experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, database and electronic mail software.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.
  • Must be able to pass back screen examination.
  • Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
