Job Overview: This position will develop tools to evaluate organizational health, assess business needs, pinpoint areas for improvement, and analyze data to shape SMSC's people strategy. The HR Data Analyst will leverage their expertise in data collection, analysis, and visualization to transform HR metrics into strategic insights that drive business decisions. Focusing on data storytelling and analytics, this position will develop data from our HCM System and deliver data to the HR leadership team.

Job Requirements:
Reflects MINIMUMEDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with Human Resources applications and minimum of 2 years experience in SQL Server Management Studio and query building including business intelligence tools.
- Advanced proficiency in the use of personal computers, MS Office Applications, and HR-related software.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills with a focus on details.
- Demonstrated quantitative skills, including data manipulation, statistical analysis and visualization.
- Strong team player, with ability to take initiative and operate independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
