The EVS Heavy Duty Porter is responsible for performing a variety of specialty cleanings throughout all areas of the property to ensure a clean, safe environment for guests, team members and other visitors. Pay starts at $17.50/HR.

Essential Job Functions/Duties  

Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC Maintains working knowledge of cleaning equipment.
  • Assembles necessary materials and supplies from storeroom.
  • Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, cleaning floors, using special solutions and disinfectants.
  • Cleans high maintenance items at various times throughout shift and typically when the building closes.
  • Heavy duty carpet cleans offices, guest areas and in the back-of-house.
  • Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal control, and safety regulations.
  • Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner including all heavy and high cleaning assignments.
  • Returns all equipment to storeroom upon completion of shift.
  • Cleans equipment used and places soiled rags and mops in designated areas.
  • Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
  • Performs assigned tasks in compliance with all department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal control, and safety regulations.
  • Reports any mechanical failure or negative condition observed in assigned area on a maintenance request form.
  • Assists in training new team members.
  • Demonstrates and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times.
  • Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
    Job Specifications

    Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in related field. Resort casino experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of all cleaning products and where they should be used.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is not required for this position.

    WORK HOURS: Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

    Certification Requirements

    Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? No

    Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.

    Other Certifications? OSHA 10 Certification; Drivers’ License
