Position Summary

Oversees the Transportation Drivers and assists the Guest Service Coordinator with managing operational processes, procedures and issues.  The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that routes run on time and adequate transportation services are provided for guests and employees.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Assists Guest Services Coordinator with training, scheduling and other employee issues.
  2. Interviews and hires Transportation Drivers.
  3. Develops and monitors guest services standards drivers are providing guests.
  4. Monitors and updates the driving records and certifications of the shuttle drivers.
  5. Assists in mapping, planning routes and coordinates with area hotels and conference centers for pickup and returns of guests to/from the property.
  6. Assists with shuttle driver to maintain vehicles for services and cleanliness of all department vehicles.
  7. Contributes to the historical database for vehicle usage and maintenance of all department vehicles.
  8. Assists in maintaining a credit card log for fuel usage of department vehicles.
  9. Maintains accountability and usage of vehicle keys.
  10. Ensures that drivers are following the set department standard operational procedures.
  11. Reports any accidents/incidents and/or damage to vehicles utilizing the transportation service.
  12. Greets and assists guests.
  13. Enters maintenance records of fleet vehicles into the Fleet Management System.
  14. Creates an environment of teamwork and provides a positive work culture and a collaborative team.
  15. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

 Additional Responsibilities

  1. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  2. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

 Key Performance Indicators

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  1. Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.
  2. Knowledge of transportation operating requirements.
  3. Must be able to present a MVD license record report with good standings.
  4. Ability to drive a vehicle equipped with standard transmission.
  5. Exhibits a strong commitment to the company and the owners.
  6. Must furnish proof of valid personal insurance.
  7. Ability to provide exceptional guest services.

   Education And Experience

Required

  1. Must be at least 25 years of age.
  2. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  3. Three (3) years’ work experience within a transportation and/or hospitality industry.
  4. One (1) year supervisory experience
  5. Ability to drive Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License. 
  2. Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement is preferred.
  3. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  4. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Pushing

Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward. (Up to 50 lbs.)

The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye.

Walking

Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations.

  1. Visual acuity requirements: to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

  4. Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or extreme cold. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement, asphalt structures and surfaces.
