Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Bartender Capacity
  • Accurately and timely takes orders from and serves wine, draft or bottled bear and mixed drinks to customers or servers.
  • Accurately mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare beverages and other drinks.
  • Accurately collects money for drinks served and follows point-of-sale procedures accurately and gives receipt to patron.
  • Correctly orders or requisitions liquors and supplies as well as maintains outlet liquor inventory.
  • Effectively arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display and slices and pits fruits for garnishing drinks.

     Accurately balances an individual cash drawer.

     Responsible for set-up and break down of special event bars.

     Must have ability to pour high volume of drinks

     Assists Barback or Beverage Server functions when necessary.

    Barback Capacity

     Accurately stocks refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer.

     Effectively washes glasses, bar, and equipment, polishes bar fixtures and mops floors.

     Timely removal or empty bottles, trash, and returns dirty ashtrays to the bar or kitchen.

     Correctly mixes and prepares flavors for mixed drinks.

     Develops knowledge of beverage service.

     Assists with Bartender or Beverage Server functions when necessary.

    Beverage Server Capacity

     Accurately collects drink order, presents order to Bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with napkins and receipt.

     Accurately computes bill and accepts payment.

     Assists Bartender or Barback functions when necessary

    Additional For All Capacity
  • Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned.
  • Is well versed in all applicable policies, procedures, rules and laws for the State of Indiana, Tropicana Evansville and the Beverage Department.

     Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).

  • Must be able to use stairwells or service elevator to go from floor to floor.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs; and be able to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist and climb up and down stairs.
  • May assist with casino restaurant with food prep, food handling, stocking and cashier duties as needed
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with second hand smoke and loud noises.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours, holidays and weekends.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months’ related

    experience and/or training. Must be able to work with the public presenting a clean, courteous image.

    Must possess and maintain an Indiana Liquor License and

    must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming license.
