Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the Senior Program Manager. This position performs moderately complete secretarial and clerical duties, coordinates Senior Program events and activities, and assists the Senior Program Cooks in preparing and serving meals, and cleaning of kitchen/dining/food storage area(s) in support of the Senior Program.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests and community members, making them feel valued and comfortable.
  2. Addresses and resolves issues or complaints with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  3. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly statistical information on number of participants and submits to the Senior Program Manager.
  4. Performs routine administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining paper, and electronic files, etc.
  5. Monitors office supply inventory and orders supplies when needed.
  6. Assist cooks with compliance paperwork.
  7. Assist cooks in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and all food storage areas.
  8. Delivers home-bound meals.
  9. Coordinates events and activities for the seniors.
  10. Files, copies, and posts of senior program material.
  11. Serves as a liaison with all supply vendors.
  12. Assures clerical assignments are professionally complete and free of errors by thorough proofreading and checking grammar.
  13. Drafts and revises policies and procedures.
  14. Runs errands for business needs.
  15. Scan documents into the Records Management electronic system.
  16. Serves as back-up when cooks are unavailable.
  17. Coordinates transportation needs of seniors for various outings.
  18. Builds relationships with the community based upon respect while maintaining a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  19. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia. 

 Additional Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a back-up for the Senior Program Manager. 
  2. Performs other job-related duties as requested.

 Key Performance Indicators

 This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

   Education And Experience

Required

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. One (1) year of secretarial experience.
  3. One (1) year experience in restaurant or food service capacity.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico driver’s license
  2. Must complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire.
  3. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation and character investigation in compliance with PL 101.630.
  4. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
