Position Summary
This position is responsible to assist the Project Management Department with the coordination of projects. The responsibility includes assisting with the planning, coordinating, personnel and activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of residential or commercial structures, facilities and systems. This position is time sensitive and shall end on the 4-year anniversary from date of hire. The primary goal of the position is to train and prepare the employee to transfer into the role of a project manager at the end of the 4-year training period.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of projects with Architectural/Engineering Firm(s), Construction Management Firm and General Contractors.
- Assist in project management to ensure all projects are managed according to project plans, specifications, contract documents and in compliance with state and federal codes, statutes, regulations and industry best practice.
- Assists to schedule projects in logical steps and within budget and timelines required to meet deadlines.
- Coordinates scheduling of tasks with staff, other department and/or contractors.
- Under the supervision of the Director of Project Management, confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors or design professional to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems.
- Under supervision of the Director of Project Management, schedules and facilitates project meeting from design through construction phase.
- Assist in the preparation of contract documents, budget estimates, progress reports and cost tracking reports.
- Assist to plan and organize activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities or systems.
- Track deliverables and timelines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to keep track of action items, risks and issues.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned. Complete ICC Training Modules and obtain ICC Plan Review, Residential and Commercial Inspector Certifications. Complete Training Courses and obtain Project Management Institute Certified Associate PM (CAPM), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. UNM Continuing Education 10-week project management certification.
Key Performance Indicators
This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Education And Experience
Required
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Architecture, Construction Management or a related field of study.
- Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years.
License/Certifications/Registrations
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions Required:
- Work may be performed outdoors and is subject to seasonal extremes and inclement weather.
- May be subject to odors, dusts, fumes, and gases.
- Subject to standard office working noise levels while outdoor levels may be much higher.
- Subject to hazards such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, possible damage to eyesight due to exposure to computer screens, and dangers associated with working outdoors around heavy machinery.
- Duties require normal dexterity while sitting and standing—also involved are walking, kneeling, climbing, crawling, crouching, and the ability to assume prone positions.
