Position Summary
The Public Area Attendant performs the overall custodial functions and cleanliness of the Casino and related facilities, including heavy cleaning, in accordance with management directives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs custodial duties: dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal, restroom cleaning; cleaning of windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and carpet cleaning.
- Performs cleaning of Bingo Hall, Slot Machines, and other furnishings.
- Complies with Housekeeping Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Under an emergency evacuation and fire, evacuates the building or voluntarily assists the Security Department in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Moving or lifting furniture and boxes.
- Cleans ceiling fixtures, through the proper and safe use of a ladder.
- Utilizes high lift for custodial tasks when required.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance of custodial equipment, and cleaning of equipment.
- Reports equipment repair requirements to supervisor.
- Trash disposal as required.
- Recycles used boxes as required.
- Serves as mentor when assigned to train a new custodial employee during the probationary period using the buddy system.
- Must attend and complete all required departmental training to include but not limited to; bio clean-up, carpet shampooing, and chemical safety.
- Is responsible for reporting to the supervisor any kind of maintenance or hazardous issue when performing their tasks.
- Is responsible for turning in any kind of lost and found item into either Security or their direct supervisor/lead.
- Will complete any project assignment issued to them.
- Is responsible for always providing proper customer service by assisting our external/internal guests when they have questions or requests.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Education And Experience
Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No experience is required, training will be provided.
Preferred
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Custodial experience.
Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.
License/Certifications/Registrations
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
