Under the direction of the Manager, Compliance Audit, the Supervisor, Compliance Audit will execute and facilitate approved audit programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment and compliance with internal, federal, state, local, tribal, and gaming regulatory requirements across the Chief Physical Security Officer’s (CPSO) vertical. In collaboration with the Department Compliance Liaisons (DCLs or points of contact [POCs]) from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Emergency Services (ES), and Tribal Family Services (TFS) Departments, the Supervisor, Compliance Audit will lead Compliance Audit Specialists and temporary audit personnel during field based audits and red teaming exercises that identifies vulnerabilities, weaknesses, areas of non-compliance, and security gaps within CPSO departmental operations, to include (but not limited to) the areas of security operations, public health, fire mitigation, operations, business continuity, certain THW services, and information security. Assessment information will be evaluated and analyzed from each department partner to ensure leaders receive timely, accurate, and concise reporting and recommendations for decision making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Executes and facilitates approved DPS and ES audit programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment and compliance with internal, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.2. Conducts field audits with specialists, provides regular written reports and verbal briefings to leadership regarding identified strengths, weaknesses, best practices, and vulnerabilities.3. Reviews specialist’s and temporary audit personnel’s raw reporting and/or audit findings, provide feedback when errors/issues are identified, works directly with the assigned DCLs to prepare final reports for leadership depicting recommendations and/or corrected measures as needed.4. Oversees and trains temporary auditors from other departments in the CPSO’s vertical in preparation for their participation in short-term (1-2 week) audits conducted on operations across DPS and ES departments.5. Take on additional responsibilities, duties, tasks, and assignments that support the mitigation or response to emergencies and/or threats to ensure the effective and efficient operation of DPS and ES.6. Reviews annual and quarterly threat assessments and regional threat reports, in partnership with the Intelligence Division, to align audits based on external threats, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and security gaps that may impact DPS and ES operations.7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, public administration, homeland security, criminal justice, emergency management or related field.
Minimum three (3) years of progressive auditing, regulatory, or continuous improvement experience required.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must have impeccable communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suites, SharePoint, and other reporting systems.
Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
Demonstrates leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify needs and requirements, develop recommendations, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suites, specifically word, excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to manage large data sets to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Experience in compliance and/or audits is preferred.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Demonstrated experience in drafting policies and procedures for an organization of comparable size to the enterprise.
Knowledge of the security industry and developed relationships with a variety of professionals is highly desired.
Maintains an on-call status when needed which may include support on graveyard shifts, holidays or weekends.
Must also maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Must possess the ability to understand, apply, and ensure compliance with established professional standards, directives, approved procedures and policies, applicable federal and state regulations along with tribal ordinances and all Tribal gaming related regulations.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
