Position Summary

Responsible for assisting the Director of Information Technology (IT) with design, implementation and maintenance of the Sandia Resort & Casino/Sandia Pueblo Cyber Security, Datacenter and Network Infrastructure.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Establishes and implements Information Technology (IT) department and overall organizational policies, procedures, and standards and ensure their compliance.
  2. Provides on-going formal reports to the Director of Information Technology (IT) regarding the status of network security, network software versions, data integrity, corporate anti-virus and disaster recovery.
  3. Plans and coordinates installation and maintenance for Sandia Casino, Sandia Pueblo LAN/WAN.
  4. Provides network and system training of other Information Technology (IT) Specialists, Information Technology (IT) Technicians and casino employees.
  5. Manages Windows systems to ensure revisions, changes, and updates to operating systems and servers and ensures compliance with system of internal controls and current gaming regulations.
  6. Maintains Cisco Core Network Software and Hardware and ensure 100% uptime of network devices.
  7. Maintains Network Security by ensuring procedures are implemented and enforced.
  8. Formally document updates and changes for Sandia Casino, Sandia Pueblo server and network topology.
  9. Responsible for all enterprise backup systems and ensure 100% compliance with system backup and recovery internal controls.
  10. Will adhere to all Information Technology (IT) Internal Controls and Standard Operating procedures.
  11. Ensures that all networks and server systems are available at all times and takes proactive steps to achieve 100% uptime.
  12. Will annually review network and active directory security with management and revise security as necessary.
  13. Ensures patch management of critical software, hardware, definition updates are tested and implemented in a timely manner.
  14. Conducts regularly scheduled department stand ups.
  15. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for

       Pueblo Sandia.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  1. Must be willing to work in a 24x7 environment and be part of an on-call rotation.
  2. Must possess strong customer interface/service and written & oral communication skills.
  3. Ability to work independently, manage projects, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, monitor system performance, network resources and provide guidance to team members.
  4. Ability to exhibit strong motivational commitment to the Information Technology (IT) organization.
  5. Ability to follow detailed instructions given by supervisors.
  6. Ability to speak accurately and clearly in public.
  7. Ability to create reports and maintains files.
  8. Working knowledge of the following server operating systems and applications: Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop, Microsoft Exchange, and Linux.
  9. Working knowledge of the following network hardware: Cisco Systems (Switches, Routers, Firewall) & Network Security Appliances.

10. Working knowledge of the following applications: Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.

11. Ability to work well with others.

   Education And Experience 

Required

  1. Associates degree in Information Systems, CIS (Computer Information Systems), Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or related field
  2. Two (2) years’ experience to include the following: 
  • Coordinating technical projects
  • Administering a virtual server environment
  • Administering a data storage environment including VSAN, SAN, NAS devices
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery procedures and processes
  • LAN/WAN design and documentation
  • Administration and management of Cybersecurity tools, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, AV.

Preferred

  1. MCP, CCNA or other professional certification.

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
  2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
