Position Summary

Ensure efficient operation of beverage services throughout the resort and casino. Oversees multiple bars, casino floor beverage service areas, a VIP Lounge, and pool service areas.  Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, service, and profitability while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Oversee day to day operations of all beverage outlets
  2. Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  3. Manage inventory levels and ordering process.
  4. Supervise beverage staff to ensure efficient operations.
  5. Provide training and support for staff development.
  6. Monitor beverage quality and guest satisfaction.
  7. Address guest concerns and implement improvements.
  8. Monitor sales performance.
  9. Control costs through efficient inventory management.
  10. Collaboration with other departments to establish performance goals and schedules.
  11. Implement sanitation and safety protocols for a clean and safe environment.
  12. Act as a liaison between beverage outlets and other departments for integration of services.
  13. Responsible for providing every guest with timely and “Far from Ordinary” service.
  14. Investigates and resolves guest complaints about beverage quality and service.
  15. Ensures daily stand ups are being consistently conducted as a means to maintain property communication.
  16. Offer coaching and feedback for professional development and performance improvement. 
  17. Prepares weekly work schedules for assigned shifts based on guidelines and budget for that outlet.  Makes staffing adjustments based on volume of business and budgeted labor as a percentage of revenue as necessary.
  18. Responsible for the accurate ordering and transferring of beverage products as needed for respective outlets.
  19. Communicates daily to staff about responsible alcohol service and holds staff accountable.
  20. Ensures that all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to the proper department for repair.
  21. Ensures that IG cash registers are maintained and closed out at the designated times as well as back up procedures are in place in case of a power outage.
  22. Timely completion of computer assisted training as required.
  23. Ensures that proper security measures are taken for the safekeeping of funds.
  24. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
  25. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.  

 Additional Responsibilities

  1. Provides immediate supervision to non-exempt and potentially exempt Team Members and serves in a role where reporting Team Members gain support, feedback, and guidance in their performance of all duties. 
  2. Sets business parameters and delegates day-to-day tasks to achieve operational objectives.  Ensures policy, procedures and practices are followed. 
  3. Creates an environment of teamwork, through communicating common goals, and show appreciation for Team Members contributions and on-going support. 
  4. Supports leadership in lower-level management responsibilities and administrative duties to include mentorship, training, counseling, scheduling, etc. 
  5. Attends to the needs of Human Resources and may interview qualified candidates and recommends the selection of a qualified candidate as directed by leadership.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

  22. Knowledge of Tribal, Federal, State and local sanitary regulations regarding the preparation, maintenance, storage and sales of food/drink products.
  23. Ability to maintain confidential information.

   Education And Experience  

Required

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years demonstrated supervisory experience in the hospitality field, with at least one ( 2) year working in bars and/or restaurants as a Supervisor or Manager. 

Preferred

  1. Associate’s degree.
  2. Previous supervisory experience in the gaming industry.
  3. Previous experience overseeing multiple outlets and a workforce of 30 FTEs or more.

Previous experience at any level in a beverage operation – bartender, cocktail server, bar back.

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
  3. Must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course within 30 days of hire date.
  4. Must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License within 30 days of hire date.

  3. Must be able to have a flexible work schedule to be able to work weekends and holidays if needed.
  4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke; common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, outdoor surfaces, cement structures and surfaces.
