Position Summary

Inspect and train all housekeeping staff to meet the standards of a four-star resort.  To ensure all housekeeping standards, as set forth by the Director of Housekeeping Services, are met and exceeded.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Inspects guest rooms, hallways and public areas immediately correcting any deficiencies.
  2. Inspects and evaluates workers’ performance to ensure quality service and compliance with housekeeping specifications are met and ensures all departures are completed by check in.
  3. Submits all maintenance issues into the EAM system, on the cell phone.
  4. Might assist Housekeeping Supervisor with opening the house and other office duties.
  5. Ensures each staff member is following all safety precautions.
  6. Ensures all team members receive proper training on departmental operational procedures and functions.
  7. Resolves customer complaints regarding worker performance and services rendered.
  8. Inspects work areas and operating equipment to ensure conformance to established standards.
  9. Assists with cleaning and shampooing of all carpets, on assigned floors.
  10. Attends and completes all required department training to include but not limited to; bio clean up, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  11. Might assist Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager with screening and interviewing applicants.
  12. Routinely updates team member’s performance journals and assists with providing input for performance appraisals for all assigned team members
  13. Performs the tasks of a Guest Room Attendant, Turndown Attendant, or House Person as needed to facilitate service.
  14. Ensures that all lost and found items have been delivered to either the housekeeping office or front desk for guest pick up. All items are to be entered into the lost and found log and properly secured in the assigned cabinet by the end of each shift. 
  15. Ensures that all guest room master keys and storage keys are properly checked out at the beginning of each shift and returned at the end of each shift.
  16. Complies with all Housekeeping/Public Areas as well as Global Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  17. Serves as a mentor when assigned to train a new inspector, guest room attendant, house person, or turndown attendant using the buddy system.
  18. Reports to the manager/supervisor any kind of maintenance or hazardous issue when performing their tasks.
  19. Provides proper customer service by assisting our external/internal guests when they have questions or requests.
  20. Checks computer rooming system midday for any early outs.
  21. Ability to create an environment of teamwork by communicating common goals and showing appreciation for team members contributions and on-going support.
  22. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

   Education And Experience 

Required

  1. Two (2) years of housekeeping experience including one (1) year supervisory experience.
  2. Must be able to speak basic English.
  3. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Lifting

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.

Pulling

Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Pushing

Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward.

The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye.

Walking

Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations.

Stooping
