Position Summary

Under general supervision, performs activities in support of the Deli area. Ensures that all guests receive “Far from Ordinary” service and that all transactions are conducted efficiently and accurately.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Register And Cash Handling

  1. Provides excellent customer service and establishes guest perception of superior guest service as that of exceptional hospitality and friendliness.
  2. Greets every guest with a warm greeting as well as a positive parting remark that expresses gratitude for their business.
  3. Maintains control and balance of bank and revenues to ensure accurate tendering throughout shift, whereas monthly variances do not exceed more or less than five dollars.

Food Expediting

  1. Ensures that all items served to our guests are of high quality and presented consistently.
  2. Follows prescribed menu in setting up hot and cold food lines, chooses proper utensils and ensures appropriate temperatures for menu items.
  3. Serves a range of hot and cold food items from counters and steam tables; adds relishes and garnishes according to instructions, ensures that appropriate portions are served.

Bussing

  1. Maintains a clean and organized dining area that is free of debris.
  2. Ensures that the cleanliness of the work and dining areas are properly maintained and that opening and closing side work is completed daily by shift as assigned.
  3. Ensures proper temperature requirements are maintained at all times as well as temperature logs completed as required.
  4. Ensures that health and safety regulations are maintained at all times.
  5. Participation in daily stand-up meetings to ensure proper information is understood.
  6. Timely completion of computer assisted training as required.
  7. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

  1. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

   Education And Experience 

Required

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Experience in restaurant or food service capacity.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire.
  2. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  3. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

  1.    Work is performed indoors and outdoors.  Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
  2.    Work hours are subject to change with overtime work required.
  3.    Ability to work a flexible scheduled including weekends and holidays.
  4.    Subject to hazards, which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  5.    Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted floors, outdoor

surfaces, cement structures and surfaces.

  1.    Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  2.    Specifically required movements include the following:
