Position Summary
Under the direction of the Slot Supervisor, the Slot Floor Attendant is responsible for providing prompt and excellent service to all guests on the gaming floor to include expediting service calls, verifying jackpots, expediting jackpot paperwork, and accurately paying jackpot payouts. Additionally, the Slot Floor Attendant is responsible for fixing minor machine errors and keeping the gaming floor clean and organized.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service and establishes guest perception of the slot department as that of exceptional hospitality and friendly.
- Counts, verifies and signs for banks issued.
- Completes customer transactions and conversions of cash, chips and coins.
- Acts as host and answers customer concerns and questions.
- Responsible for recognizing slot codes on slots, clearing simple cash in and cash out jams, and notifying supervisors of more serious malfunctions.
- Assists slot technicians with minor repairs when necessary.
- Effectively explains slot machine pay out schedules to patrons.
- Obtains W9’s, generates and records W2-G’s, and 1042s.
- Completes and verifies large jackpot payouts per Internal Controls and Title 31 reporting regulations.
- Must be capable of comprehending and conveying various property events to slot players.
- Adheres to Title 31 procedures.
- Walks the floor to ensure timely service to our guests.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

- A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.
- Team members in this capacity: Serves as the initial point of contact for guest inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner.

- Resolves all issues in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and exceeding expectations. Possesses knowledge and understanding of all products and services offered.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
- Knowledge of Casino Operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of slot and gaming equipment.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to count and verify large sums of money: coin/cash
- Ability to recognize and process jackpot pay outs.
- Ability to read and understand slot codes and pay out combinations.
- Ability to use a 2 way radio.
Education And Experience
Required
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- Six (6) months customer service experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred
Experience in a slot department.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.
